Photography – Wednesday

Group Leader:           Avril Lees 01292 475996
Location:               Newton Wallacetown Church Hall
Day and Time: Wednesday  10.00 am - 12.00 pm

This is an enthusiastic group who meet in sessions run from September to December, and January to end of April.  During the summer months planned visits to outdoor venues are enjoyed by smaller sections of the group (weather permitting).

There is a diversity of skill in the membership and the aim is always to adopt an attitude of improvement through learning from other members and visitors. With this uppermost in mind a programme is adopted, using ‘workshops’ and the ‘know-how’ of visitors to the group‘s advantage.  The group holds an annual exhibition, which is a window into what the members have achieved as individuals, plus they have an internal competition.

Despite having to find another venue at short notice this term, we were determined to put on our Annual Exhibition at Ayr Library.
We are proud to show our Photographs that brings so many people into the Library and proud to be part of the wonderful organisation that is, Opportunities in Retirement.
Thankfully we have settled into our new premisses at Newton Park Church hall and have forged ahead with our Autumn Programme.
We have welcomed Guest Speakers, held competitions, both Camera and Laptop Workshops, and are dabbling in Mobile phone Photography.
We cover a vast amount of topics within the realms of Photography and also enjoy the social side of being a happy, helpful and caring group.
If you would like to join our group you will be made very welcome.
We meet……..Wednesday Morning
At Newton Park Church hall.     Across from the O.I.R. office.
