Coach Trip to Galashiels on Saturday September 24th
It is planned to run a coach trip to Galashiels on September 24th. Galashiels is an attractive Border town with numerous shops, cafes and walks.  A new Museum, The Great Tapestry of Scotland, has recently opened there. The cost of the trip would be approximately £23 (coach only) or £30 including museum admission.  If you are interested, please contact the office on office@oirayr.org.uk or telephone on (01292) 260086 to register your interest.

Jewellery Group : Prestwick Community Centre : Fridays 10-12
This is a small friendly Group who meet every Friday at Prestwick Community Centre.  They have a few spaces for any interested members.  Please call the office for more information on start date etc on (01292) 260086 or email office@oirayr.org.uk.

News Review : Change of Venue –  Ayrshire Housing Meeting Room : Wednesday 14th September, 12noon – 1.30pm
Our News Review Group will re-start on 14th September – but different venue and time as above.  New members welcome and more information on the Group can be obtained by calling the Group Leader. David Walton on (01292) 261512.

Crafting – Castlehill Church : Thursdays, Castlehill Church Hall,  1.30-3.30
Our Crafting Group also have a few spaces left and meet in Castlehill Church Hall on Thursday afternoons.  If you are interested in joining them please contact the office on (01292) 260086 or office@oirayr.org.uk for  information.

Line Dancing – CHANGE OF VENUE
Lilian, the Group Leader, would like you all to know that the Line Dancing has changed its venue.  The Class will re-start on 31st August from 10.30-12noon at St James Church Hall, Prestwick Road, Ayr – just round the corner from Newton on Ayr Railway Station.  If you need any further information please contact the office on office@oirayr.org.uk.

If Group Leaders still have not told their venue and the office the date they intend to re-start after the summer recess, please can they do so as soon as possible.  Thank you.


OIR NEWS EMAIL: JULY 2022

LOCAL BIRD WATCHING GROUP:
It is hoped to start up a Bird Watching Group which would concentrate on the local areas around Ayr, Doonfoot, Newton Shore, Prestwick etc. The emphasis would be on helping each other to identify birds and their calling characteristics. The group would probably meet one afternoon each fortnight on a day to be decided.
